Biography

Salihu Mustapha Salihu is an indigene of Ilorin, Kwara State of Nigeria, a Lecturer II in the Department of Arabic, Faculty of Arts, University of Ilorin. He is a poet, a prolific writer and researcher. He is the founder of Al-khairāt Institute if Qur’an Memorisation, Arabic and Islamic Studies, Osere, Ilorin, an alumnus of Zumratul Adabiyyatul Kamaliyyah Arabic and Islamic School, Okekere, Ilorin, and an alumnus of Ma’had Ilorin Ad-Diniy Al-Azhariy, Ogidi, Ilorin. He obtained B.A. degree in Arabic Language from Al-Azhar University, Cairo, Egypt, M A and Ph.D in Arabic at University of Ilorin. He started his career as a part-time teacher at Az-Zumuratul Adabiyyah in 1994 and an Associate Lecturer at Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin before he was appointed as a teacher by Civil Service Commission in 2005. He speaks Yoruba, Arabic and English Languages fluently and he is happily married and blessed with children. His research interests include Arabic Literature and Criticism.
