Muritala Imam Akeyede, is a Lecturer I in the Department of Arabic and Transnational Studies Faculty of Arts, University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Nigeria with good 12 years University experience: in teaching, research and administrative experience. He teaches Islamic Literature, Arabic Reading Skill, Beginners’ Arabic Reading, Pre-Islamic Arabic Literature, Arabic Syntax, Reading Skill II, An-Nahw, Al-Muhadathah, Classical Arabic Criticism, Advanced Arabic Reader II in the Undergraduate Programme. He also teaches Arabic Translation, Composition and Performance of Arabic Poetry and Modern Arabic Poetry in Postgraduate Programme. His research majorly focuses on Islamic Literature and Rhetoric with three languages: Arabic, English and Yoruba. He holds B.A. in Arabic Language and Literature, M.A. in Arabic Language, Ph.D. in Islamic Literature Post Graduate Diploma in Arabic Education. He has over thirty publications in the reputable Journals, Local base, National and International. He is a member of Academic Society of Arabic Language and Literature in Nigeria (ASALLIN), Nigeria Association of Teachers of Arabic and Islamic Studies (NATAIS), a Member of Islamic League of Literature and a Member of Academic Union of Universities
