Professor Abdullahi is a native of Lafiagi in Edu Local Government of Kwara State. He obtained B.A Arabic from Bayero University, M.A and PhD in Arabic from University of Ilorin. He worked as Lecturer in Arabic Department, Kwara State College of Arabic and Islamic Legal Studies Ilorin, from 1992 to 2017 where he rose to the post of chief Lecturer in 2008. He joined the service of University of Ilorin in 2017 as senior Lecturer in Department of Arabic and he is now a Reader. His research interest is Islamic Literature and Rhetoric.
