Dr Jamiu Saadullah Abdulkareem

Arabic and Transnational Studies
Dr Jamiu Saadullah Abdulkareem is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Arabic and Transnational Studies, Faculty of Arts, University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Nigeria with over ten years university teaching, research and administrative experience. He holds B.A. and M.A. in Arabic Studies, Ph.D. in Arabic Literature, Professional Diploma in Education and Certificate of the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN).
He teaches Arabic Language & Translation, Literary History and Criticism. He has successfully supervised many researches at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Also, he has capably served as Students Level Adviser, Arabic Academic Staff Secretary, Students Liaison Officer and as member of many other departmental and faculty committees. He is currently the Departmental Examinations Officer.
His research majorly focuses on Arabic Literature and Nigerian Culture. He has to his credit, over forty publications in reputable outlets covering journals, chapters in books and edited conference proceeding. He is a member of the following associations: Academic Society of Arabic Language and Literature in Nigeria (ASALLIN), Nigeria Association of Teachers of Arabic and Islamic Studies (NATAIS), Nigerian Institute of Translators and Interpreters (NITI), Council of Islamic Literature in Nigeria (CILIN) and World League of Islamic Literature (WLIL). He has also attended many national and international conferences, with active participation and presentation of quality articles.
