Aliy Abdulwahid Adebisi is an Associate Professor in the Department of Arabic, Faculty of Arts, University of Ilorin, Ilorin Nigeria with 13 years of university teaching, research, and administrative experience. He teaches Arabic language and Translation studies. He is currently Ag, Director, Institute of Translation Arts, University of Ilorin, Ilorin. His research majorly focuses on Arabic Language & Literature, Translation with three working languages Arabic, English, and Yoruba. He holds an M.A. in Arabic language, a Ph.D. in Arabic language and literature, and a post-graduate Diploma in Journalism.

He has to his credit over thirty publications in reputable outlets covering journals, edited conference proceedings, chapters in books, and Books. He has successfully supervised four master dissertations while two Ph.D. theses are in progress. Dr. Adebisi is a fellow and national president, the Nigerian Institute of Translators and Interpreters. He is also a member of many professional bodies within and outside Nigeria.

He is a grant awarded by the British Academy on African Translation and Interpretation Studies writing Workshop in South Africa.
